What changed

India enacted the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. Government material states that it prohibits all forms of online money games—whether based on chance, skill or a combination—and also prohibits advertising, promotion, facilitation and related payment processing.

MeitY’s public Act page lists the April 22, 2026 notifications for the rules, the Online Gaming Authority of India and the date appointed for enforcement.

What that means for a 99exchange query

Public pages commonly describe 99exchange as a sports-betting exchange and casino platform involving money. Those descriptions place the searched activity squarely within the issues users must evaluate under the central prohibition. A label such as “exchange”, “skill”, “cricket ID” or “offshore” does not by itself create an exemption.

03

Advertising and affiliation

The government states that advertising online money games is prohibited and subject to penalties. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting advisories have also warned publishers, platforms, celebrities and influencers against direct or surrogate promotion of offshore betting and gambling.

For that reason, this website does not link to an account, agent, payment route or APK. Its sign-up CTA opens a legal and safety explainer.
